Review: I remember when I was younger, I saw the trailer for Pleasantville and was pretty amazed by how they incorporated both black-and-white and color in the scenes. Over time, I kept thinking about watching this movie, but for some reason, I never got around to it. So I figured now’s the right time to finally watch it, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint.
I really enjoyed this film! Some parts made me laugh, while others hit a little deeper because of how much they still reflect real life. Those moments made me appreciate Pleasantville even more. It’s not perfect, but I hope this movie stands the test of time because it was such a great watch. The cast was amazing too — everyone did so well, but Joan Allen really stood out for me. Definitely recommend this one if you’re looking for something to watch in your free time.
